I’ve just come back from the most amazing two-week holiday to America and Mexico and I’m seriously suffering from the post holiday blues! But now I’m back and excited to start writing blog posts again, starting off with a few about my holiday.
One of the places we visited was LA for a few days and I have had a UCLA shopping list in my mind for ages prior to going and couldn’t wait to visit the store on campus.
I specifically went there wanting a hoodie and a few jersey tops and although I ended up seeing so many things I wanted, I was quite strict with the items on my list and ended up only buying three things! Which was quite good for me as I could have spent so much in there if I had enough money!!
So here’s the items I bought, starting with my favourite first:
I was worried I wasn’t going to find the hoodie I wanted, as all the ones I tried on were either gigantic on me or tiny. I like hoodies that are a little oversized but not so big that they swamp me and after trying on loads, I decided to give up.
Then my boyfriend came over with this one which was the perfect size and the last one left! As soon as I tried it on I loved it!
Navy is my favourite colour for hoodies and I love the gold coloured embroidered logo on this. It’s by Russel Athletic and was $54. It’s so warm and comfy and I can’t wait to wear it now it’s absolutely freezing outside!
UCLA Jersey Top
I absolutely love this jersey top by Under Armour. I wanted it to be slightly oversized as I imagined wearing it with skinny jeans/leggings and converse for a casual look, so I bought it in a large which was just the right oversized fit I was after.
I love the loose fitted style of this and being slightly longer at the back makes it a more flattering fit, especially when being worn with leggings.
I’m not one for wearing bright coloured clothes, so the grey, white and navy combination are just the kind of colours I go for and they also make this top more wearable as it goes with anything.
UCLA Bruins Long Sleeve T-shirt
This t-shirt by JanSport was one of the first items I picked up and I instantly loved it for its loose-fit style but with tight sleeves making it really versatile as it can be dressed up or down. Again, like the jersey, this also hangs longer at the back which makes it drape beautifully for a flattering fit and adds a more feminine touch to the usual oversized t-shirts which I normally go for.
I can dress this top up or down as the style makes it really versatile for throwing on over leggings for a casual look or dressing up slightly with boots, skinny jeans and a leather jacket.
So that’s my UCLA clothes haul; justified by me calling them ‘souvenirs’ – which obviously I had to buy to have as memories from my holiday!
