New Additions | Mac Strobe Cream

I’ve been meaning to try this for a while now, as I love a luminous base under my foundation to give a dewy finish, and this product is perfect for that.

I’ve tried loads of similar products in the past, so I’m not exactly sure why it took me so long to try this, but after seeing some great reviews on it recently, I decided to give it a try.

Mac Strobe cream

I bought the 30ml travel size (as I wanted to try it before purchasing the full size version), which I think is amazing value at only £10!

At such a great price, I thought I was going to receive a tiny little tube of it, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was a really decent size and I think it will definitely last a long time.

It’s described as ‘the ultimate quick fix for the skin’ and has some great skin benefits which include antioxidants, vitamins and green tea which help to moisten, freshen and boost the look of tired and dull skin.

I was so excited to try it and it just looked beautiful with its iridescent, pearly colour and I couldn’t wait to apply it over freshly moisturised skin.

It’s a lovely lightweight, creamy texture which feels velvety soft and quite cooling too, and it glides smoothly across the skin.

It made my skin feel instantly smooth and provided such a beautiful base; brightening the skin with the iridescent particles. It felt lovely to apply and didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy or tacky and absorbed quickly.

I loved the look of it on bare skin already and it made my skin look really radiant and glowy, and I loved that the almost pearlescent sheen was very noticeable on the skin, so I knew that it would be seen under my foundation.

I’ve used similar products in the past, which give a lovely, glowy base on application, but is then lost under foundation and it’s totally unnoticeable and like you haven’t even applied it in the first place.

But with this, It really does show that lovely pearly, dewy effect under foundation, and it just makes your skin look so radiant and gives a gorgeous healthy glow!

I instantly fell in love with this product and it did exactly what I wanted it to do for my skin. I love a dewy finish and this provides that beautifully. It doesn’t get lost under my foundation and I love how it looks in the light as it really makes the skin glow.

I tried this under my mineral powder foundation and love the effect, but I also wanted to try it with my favourite liquid foundation – a little mixed in with it and also dabbing some across my cheekbones, forehead, nose and brow bone.

I absolutely loved the results! It gave an even more radiant and pearly all over finish when mixed in with liquid foundation and looked beautiful dabbed slightly across my cheek and brow bones.

A little goes a very long way so I used it sparingly when applying it to highlight my features, which just means the product lasts even longer.

I would probably keep that kind of look for nights out and use it the usual way underneath foundation for an everyday look, but I just love how versatile this product is and that it can have many uses if you want to experiment with it slightly!

I love experimenting with my make-up products anyway, and you’ll often find that one product can be used in various ways to create different effects and this product is great for that.

I love my travel size tube – which is such a bargain at £10, but I will most definitely be getting the full size 50ml version of it when this one runs out.

I had a feeling I would love this product and I’m so happy I bought it – It’s become an instant favourite and staple item in my make-up bag already!

Do you use similar products under foundation?

What do you think of this one?
