Mark Hill | MiracOILicious Range

When it comes to haircare, I’m usually wary about trying new products and swaying from my usual hair routine.

I like the products I use now and I hate buying from a different brand to ‘try something new’ then being disappointed with the results.

I just hate the feeling of wasting my money on things I’m not going to use again and end up just giving the products to my mum and then go back to my usual ones!

This has happened to me loads in the past, so for years now I haven’t changed my shampoo or conditioner, as so far it’s been the best I’ve used and I’ve been put off trying new products just incase it isn’t as good and then I’ve wasted my money.

Then, whilst watching one of her YouTube videos, Corrie from Dizzybrunette3 started talking about the Mark Hill MiracOILicious range she had been using and recommend and I immediately wanted to try it!

I love her blog and really value her opinion on things and not to mention she has amazing hair, so I thought well if she uses it and she has hair like that then it must be good!

It sounded like something I would like, especially as it contains essential oils such as Moroccan Argan Oil which I use on my hair anyway (and it works wonders), so I thought a shampoo and conditioner containing Argan Oil must be good for your hair!

So I ended up buying the full range from Boots — I can never resist a 3 for 2 offer! I bought the MiracOILicious Nourishing shampoo and conditioner and also the MiracOILicious 2 Minute Intensive Treatment.

First of all, let me just say how amazing they smell! It’s like a really exotic, tropical orange kind of smell and it’s the nicest smelling shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever used!

I couldn’t wait to use them and used the shampoo and conditioner first.

I first used it letting my hair dry naturally afterwards so I could see what the results from that were like and honestly, my hair was just so soft and smooth!

I have naturally straight hair and it gets greasy quickly so I have to wash it every other day to keep it looking nice.

But, after using this, it didn’t look greasy after about two days as usual and that really surprised me — maybe I’ve just been using the wrong products for my hair all these years, but I guess you don’t really know what suits your hair without trial and error — so I’m so glad I decided to sway from my usual stuff and try something new, because I think I’ve finally found the products that really suit my hair.

I thought I was happy with my old haircare range, as it made my hair feel nice and soft but no way near how soft this makes my hair feel.

My hair’s quite thick too, so running my fingers through it makes it knotty and I have to brush it throughout the day to keep it tangle free, but I’ve noticed that this keeps my hair from getting all knotty and I don’t have to brush it half as much throughout the day now!

I tried it again with blow drying it straight and the results were even better, obviously hair always looks nicer after a proper blow dry, and it made my hair look really shiny and so soft. I literally love this stuff!

I wouldn’t normally write a review on a shampoo and conditioner, but after using this, I was just so happy with how soft and smooth it made my hair that I couldn’t wait to rave about it!

I have dyed hair too and that’s why I sometimes use Moroccan Oil through the ends to help keep it in condition as it can get quite dry, and I find this range perfect for those needs.

I won’t bore you with the full ingredients, but i’ll just name a few that are in the main ingredients. They contain a mix of 14 essential oils and plant extracts, including Moroccan Argan Oil, Ylang-Ylang, Bergamot, Orange (hence the gorgeous smell), Spearmint, Sandlewood, Sage, Palmarosa, Clove and Castor Seed.

I’m honestly not sure what some of them are, but the results are enough to tell me that they must be all amazing stuff for your hair!

As I get my hair dyed, I love using a weekly treatment mask and the 2 Minute Intensive Treatment is just so good! I knew it would be after how well the shampoo and conditioner worked on me, but this stuff is so luxurious to use and it really softened and hydrated my hair.

I do leave it on for longer than two minutes, I don’t know if it works better just keeping it on for two minutes or not, but I just like leaving my conditioners and treatments on a little longer as I like to know that it’s really penetrating the hair.

As expected, my hair felt super smooth and silky soft afterwards and smelt gorgeous!

I think it’s personal preference whether you think you need a treatment mask too — and I think I’d be just as happy with my hair if I was just using the shampoo and conditioner — but, as I have coloured hair; I really like using them as I feel like my hair needs a more intensive treatment at least every two weeks (or every week if I can),  just to really nourish it and give it some extra hydration.

I’ve just always enjoyed using hair masks anyway, so I always like to have one and I always like it to be from the same range too.

So, that’s enough of me raving about how much I love this stuff! It really has made such a difference to my hair, especially that it’s now soft enough to run my fingers through without it getting knotty.

I think I’ve finally found the right products for my hair and I’m so glad I decided to give it a try!

Thanks for your comment! I hadn’t used any of the products before either! I’d always seen them but was reluctant to try a new brand from what I was using. But I’m glad I ended up trying It because It’s the best shampoo and conditioner I’ve ever used! x
