What's inside my make-up bag? Zoella make-up bag

What’s In My Make-up Bag?

I haven’t done a ‘Whats in my Make-up Bag’ post before and I’ve always wanted to, so I thought it’s about time I write one!

I’ve wrote posts about my make-up routine before, but I wanted to write one about the contents of my every day make-up bag and what I always carry around with me.

What's in my make-up bag?

I must admit I have a habit of carrying way too much make-up around with me, so lately I’ve been trying to condense it so I’m just carrying the essentials that I’ll need for quick touch ups, instead of about five lipsticks just incase I change my mind throughout the day — which never happens!

I still probably cart around too much, but you just never know what you might need when you’re out and about!

What's in my make-up bag? Barry M Liquid Eyeliner

First of all you may have noticed that my make-up bag is the Zoella ‘Just Say Yes’ make-up bag, which, out of all the make-up bags I’ve ever owned, has become my absolute favourite!

It’s just the prefect size, shape and gorgeous girly colour and think it’s just so pretty. The size is large enough to fit so much in, but it’s squashy so it squashes in my handbag rather than take up too much room  in there.

It’s also wipe–clean which is ideal for me as I’m a little obsessed with keeping my things looking neat and tidy!

First up is the Barry M Liquid Eyeliner. This has great precision with the fine pointed tip and it’s jet black. The pigment and staying power is amazing and I can create precise flicks really easily with this.

If I’m going out straight after work, then I’ll make sure I go over my top eyeliner again to just refresh it and it instantly makes my eyes look ‘made–up’ again, so I always carry this around with me.

What's in my make-up bag? Maybelline Colorsensational Shine Gloss

I always carry one or two lipsticks around with me just incase I want a change (I use to cart about 5 around with me, so two is just about enough ‘condensing’ for me!) so my choice of lipsticks vary daily depending on what I’ve chosen to wear that day.

But, I always make sure I have a lip gloss on hand and will usually use the same one for a while before having a change.

The one I’m using at the moment is the Maybelline ColorSensational Shine Gloss in Fabulous Pink and it’s gorgeous! I’m loving using this lately alone or over lipsticks and it’s a stunning pale pearly–pink and it’s such a girly colour!

I always go for colours like this as I love glosses to have a kind of pearlescent, shimmery touch to them to add a bit of dimension to the lips.

Back on to the make-up bag and these pictures show just how roomy and spacious the bag is! It holds much more than you think so it’s easy to get carried away stuffing it with loads of make-up!

I’m thinking this bag will last me absolutely ages as it’s amazing quality. I can easily fit some eyeshadow palettes like the Naked Basics palette and also my new Barry M Chisel Cheeks Contour Kit in there, even with all my other make-up and a few brushes. It will be great for weekends away and holidays as I’ll probably be able to pack all the make-up I’ll need in there!

What's in my make-up bag? Baby Lips Dr Rescue Menthol Lip Balm Coral Crave

As well as some lipsticks and a lip gloss I always like to have a lip balm handy and for a while now my lip balm of choice has been the Maybelline Baby Lips. I’m just obsessed with them and I nearly have them all now!

I like to switch between them, but currently I’m using the Maybelline Baby Lips Dr Rescue Menthol lip balm in Coral Crave. Like all the others, it’s super hydrating and moisturising and ideal for prepping the lips and softening them for lipstick.

What's in my make-up bag? Benefit Roller Lash Mascara

I always carry mascara around with me as I like to top up my mascara if I’m going anywhere after work and I’m currently using the Benefit Roller Lash mascara. I’m still using the sample size of this so when it runs out I’ll be heading for the full size one as it’s just so good!

It creates the type of lashes that I love — thick, curled and with loads of volume which you can keep layering and it’s jet black too.

What's in my make-up bag? Maybelline Master Smoky Smoky Black and Smoky Grey

I’ve been using the Maybelline Master Smoky Shadow–pencil’s as eyeliner since they came out and I haven’t changed the eyeliner I use in my waterline since. The Smoky Black is my absolute must–have eyeliner for in my waterline as it’s super pigmented, jet black and actually stays put in my waterline without cracking or disappearing.

I’ve recently added the Smoky Grey to my collection to use underneath my lower lash line as an alternative to black for during the day and I love it! They’re really easy to blend and smudge with and I always carry them around with me for a quick ‘freshen up’ of my make-up after work.

What's in my make-up bag? Bare Minerals Warmth

I don’t carry blusher around with me but I always carry a bronzer as I love to have a quick sweep of it during the day to keep my make-up looking nice and add some warmth to my face when it needs ‘perking up’. Funnily enough the bronzer I’m using at the minute is bareMinerals ‘All–Over Face Color’ in Warmth!

It’s been a staple in my make-up bag for years ever since I started using bareMinerals and received this with the starter kit. I’ve tried and loved different bronzers in the past, but I always end up coming back to this.

It adds a gorgeous radiant–bronze colour all over the face and really makes your complexion look healthy and ‘awake’.

A little goes a very long way so I just tap a tiny amount in the lid and swirl my brush in, shake off the excess and sweep it around my face on my temples, cheekbones, jaw line and under my chin for a lovely sun–kissed look.

What's in my make-up bag? Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki Brush

This is one of my favourite newest additions to my every day make-up bag and I’m wondering how I ever coped without it before! The Real Techniques Retractable Kabuki brush — an absolute must–have in my opinion! The bristles are fluffy, soft — yet dense — and great for sweeping colour over the face without applying too much.

It’s so versatile as it can be used for bronzer, powder or blush and I like to use mine to apply my blush in the mornings then carry it in my make-up bag for touch–ups of bronzer throughout the day. It’s handy and convenient being retractable and having a lid helps to keep the bristles clean and intact in your make-up bag.

I hope you’ve enjoyed taking a peek inside my make-up bag! I love being nosey and reading these kinds of posts, so let me know what your must–have products are to carry around with you. Or if you have a ‘What’s in my Make-up Bag’ post too, as I’d love to have a read!
