Lipstick is probably my biggest weakness when it comes to buying make-up and I’m always on the lookout for a new shade.
I have so many lipsticks that I’ll probably never use all of, but I just can’t resist finding new shades and trying out different formulas.

I can usually tell if I’m going to like a colour by just looking at it and when I saw this No7 High Shine Lip Crayon in ‘Daydreamer’ I knew I had to try it as the colour was definitely my kind of shade! I actually get weirdly excited when I think I’ve found my next favourite ‘nude-pink’ lipstick (I’m a bit obsessed with wanting all the nude-pink shades ever made) and when I saw this I just grabbed the tester and swatched it straight away!
After swatching it on the back of my hand I knew I was right! It’s a nude – slightly plum – pink which is my absolute favourite kind of shade in lipsticks and it’s a really wearable everyday colour.
It also has a really glossy, shiny finish to it which is perfect for me — the glossier the better in my opinion! It feels creamy to apply and really feels like it’s moisturising the lips too whilst you’re wearing it. There’s no ‘drying’ feeling with this even after wearing it for a while and it’s not sticky either.
I’ve never used ‘crayon’ type lipsticks before, so it was kind of a novelty first using it and it made applying it nice and easy, as you can follow the lip line with the pointy end then sweep it on its side filling in the rest of the lips.
But, I can imagine it will lose its ‘crayon’ shape quite quickly though, but that doesn’t bother me at all as it will just as nicely apply whether it goes blunt or stays pointy, depending on how you apply it. Lipsticks and lip products always kind of ‘mould’ to the wearers lips anyway depending on how they apply it.
I love that it twists up too and there seems to be a lot of product in it when I twisted it all the way up to check, so I think it will last a really long time. I absolutely love the colour and I’ve found a new shade that I will always want in my collection, so I’m hoping that it never gets discontinued!
I always panic when I find the perfect shade for me, as I always think I need to stock up incase they ever stop making them! But I imagine this will become quite popular being a nude-pink and a really wearable every day colour, and when I finish this one I will definitely be rushing out to replace it!
