April Favourites

I can’t believe it’s nearly May already! I feel as though it’s not long since I was preparing my March Favourites post and now I’m onto April’s.

May is my favourite month anyway, as It’s mine and my mum’s birthday month, so I’m not complaining too much that we’re heading into May already!

April Favourites - beauty blog

I’m also going on holiday for my birthday, which I absolutely can’t wait for — so May can’t come quick enough! So, here’s my April Favourites and some of the products I’ve been using loads this month.

Bare Minerals Giddy Pink Blush

If you read my blog, you won’t be surprised to find that there’s a bareMinerals product in here! It’s just one of my absolute favourite make-up brands and I’m especially fond of their blushes. I also had one of these blushes in my March Favourites post! I have quite a lot of their blushes, so I switch between them to make sure I’m using them all!

This beautiful shade is called Giddy Pink and is one of my favourites. I love pink blushes and this one is a gorgeous shade for spring and really compliments my skin tone. It’s described as a ‘warm baby pink’ and I think that describes it perfectly!

What I really love about it though, is that it also has a pearly shimmer to it, so it really brightens up the face and you can really see the subtle shimmer on the cheeks which I love. It’s just such a beautiful, summery shade and I wear this loads throughout spring and summer.

Estee Lauder Double Wear Light Intensity 0.5

I don’t own a large variety of foundations, as I tend to just stick with the ones that work for me rather than hoarding loads of just ‘ok’ ones. So the main ones I switch between are bareMinerals Original Foundation, Estée Lauder Double Wear and Double Wear Light.

I love all three of these and switch between them for different occasions, but the one I’ve been reaching for the most this past month is Double Wear Light. The shade I have is Intensity 0.5 and I think it’s one of the lightest shades. I love this foundation as it gives amazing coverage whilst feeling lightweight on the skin. I also find it easy to buff in before it dries and it last all day too.

It blends evenly without drying too quickly and doest smudge or ‘melt’ off during warm weather — it really does have amazing staying power! I also find one layer is enough coverage so I don’t use a lot of product in one go so it lasts ages too. I will always repurchase this as I feel confident when I’m wearing it knowing that it’s going to stay on all day.

No7 High Shine Lip Crayon and BB Lip Balm

Next up is the two lip products I’ve been wearing loads since I bought them — both No7 products and one is the High Shine Lip Crayon in Daydreamer and the other is the BB Lips Beauty Balm SPF 15 in Ballerina.

No7 High Shine Lip Crayon Daydreamer

The High Shine Lip Crayon is the just most amazing nude–pink shade and I find it so wearable for everyday! It’s really moisturising and leaves a gorgeous glossy finish too, without any stickiness.

I won’t go into too much detail with this as I’ve already wrote an in–depth post on it here with plenty of swatches too.

No7 BB Lip Balm SPF 15

This gorgeous BB Lips Beauty Balm in Ballerina is more than just a lip balm; it contains SPF 15, soothes and nourishes the lips and is a beautiful nude–pink shade. I actually bought this with my holiday in mind as it contains SPF and is also really pigmented, but I couldn’t help but use it straight away!

No7 BB Lip Balm SPF 15

I will definitely be packing this as an alternative to SPF lip balms without much colour. I much prefer this as it gives quite good colour pay–off — not too sheer but also not full on colour so you’d need a mirror to apply it to make sure it goes on evenly. So this will be really handy for popping on during the day on holiday.

Thomas Sabo Charm Bracelet

Lastly, one of my favourite items of jewellery; my Thomas Sabo Charm Bracelet. It was a birthday present from my parents a few years ago and it’s made from white cultured pearls in sterling silver and is just beautiful!

Thomas Sabo Charm Bracelet

I love all my jewellery and I’m a big fan of beautiful bracelets and this one just really stands out as a gorgeous statement piece. I’ve been wearing it loads recently since the weather’s been getting warmer, as the pastel colours look beautiful together and compliment summery outfits.

It can hold three charms at once and I was given it with a gorgeous sterling silver ‘A’ pendant which I love, but I’ve been wearing it with this pink heart pendant lately as I just love the colours together!

What products have you been enjoying using this month?
