I love bareMinerals and especially their loose powder products which make up the majority of my make-up products and many staple items in my make-up bag.
I enjoy using them and find them really easy to use, and even though you have to tap some product into the lid first before picking it up on the brush and tapping the excess off, I don’t find it any more time-consuming than using pressed powders.
Mostly I just use whatever product is already in the lid, which is usually a small amount and just the right amount that’s needed. I just find the loose powders so pigmented and a little goes a long way so they last ages!
There’s also so many gorgeous colours belonging to each range that you’re really spoilt for choice over which ones to go for!
Every time I go to a bareMinerals counter I can’t help but have a look at their stunning range of shades and they just look so vibrant and sparkly in their little pots! I’m always tempted to try a new eyeshadow or blush and I don’t think I’ll ever stop wanting to add to my bareMinerals collection!
I have quite a variety of their loose blush and eyeshadow pot’s, but wanted to share a few of my favourite picks from each, so my favourite blushes, eyeshadows and face products.
Laughter, on the right, is a beautiful coral-rose which is the perfect summer blush. It’s highly pigmented and blends beautifully.
Giddy Pink, on the left, is one of my most favourite pink blushes and although it looks quite dark in the pot, it’s actually described as a ‘warm baby pink’ and I would definitely agree with that once it’s applied to the cheeks!
It’s a pink which really compliments my pale complexion and has the most amazing subtle pearly shimmer to it, which I think looks lovely on the cheeks as it contains just the right amount of fine, shimmery particles.
For adding the finishing touches to my make-up, I love their Mineral Veil finishing powder (bottom right) as an all–over finishing product and Warmth ‘All-Over Face Color’ (top left) as my bronzer.
The Mineral Veil I’m using right now is the Tinted version which adds a subtle hint of natural colour and warmth to the skin which brightens up my complexion. Dusted over the skin, it blurs and softens fine lines, prolongs foundation wear, absorbs oil and minimises the look of pores; giving an all-over ‘airbrushed’ finish to the skin.
I love sweeping a little Warmth all around my face; on my cheekbones, around my jaw line and on my temples. It’s a radiant–bronze shade which makes your complexion look healthy and ‘awake’ for a really natural sun–kissed look. I absolutely love this as a bronzer and always end up coming back to this when I’ve tried different ones.
Even though Queen Phyllis (top right) is an eye shadow, I just find it to be the most amazing highlighter colour and it’s definitely one of my favourite bareMinerals products. It’s a shimmery, yellow-toned, light buttercup colour and I love using it to highlight my brow and cheek bones. It’s a stunning shade but quite shimmery, so I mostly use this as my evening and night-out highlighter.
Drama (bottom left) is another favourite. I love grey for eyeshadows and this is a really unique, shimmery, deep silver-grey. It’s perfect for smokey eye looks and also looks amazing smudged underneath the eyes. I find the silvery, glistening particles really flattering for green eyes, but it’s so beautiful and shimmery that it would probably make any eye colour really stand out!
Are you a fan of loose eyeshadows, blushes and face products?
Or do you prefer them as a pressed powder?
