After a very busy few months with moving house and starting a new job, I’m so happy I can finally start writing post’s again now everything’s settled down.
I’ve actually had the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair since May last year when my boyfriend bought it me for my birthday, but I only just started using it about a month after I’d used up another night serum I had.
I hated waiting that long to use it, but I also hate wasting things so needed to use up my other night serum first! I’ve wanted this serum for ages and after reading so many amazing reviews on it, I knew I had to try it.
This is the Synchronized Recovery Complex II and is the 100ml bottle, so I know it’s going to last ages and I just love having this beautiful bottle displayed on my dressing table!
I’ve been using it every night for a month now so I feel as though I can give a thorough enough review, and my thoughts so far are extremely positive — I really love this product!
I use it after cleansing and only use about a 20p size amount — I’m not sure what the recommendations are exactly for how much to use, but after using too much in the beginning and having to wait a while for it to soak in, I’ve found that a 20p size amount is enough to cover my face and allow it to soak in enough.
I wait about 30 seconds while it soaks in, then apply my usual moisturiser over it. It feels so moisturising and smooth to apply, almost like it’s giving your skin a ‘drink’ and really feels as though it’s rehydrating and replenishing the skin.
For me, it doesn’t feel greasy at all and I really like the fact that it doesn’t just absorb straight away and you can see the gloss or ‘sheen’ on your skin. It’s not an oily look at all (it’s actually oil free), but more like a ‘glow’ which you can still see when moisturiser is applied afterwards.
I love the smoothing texture, and it feels as though the product is working at putting moisture back in the skin.
It’s designed to help with signs of ageing, dullness, dryness and dehydration, and helps maximise the skin’s natural nighttime renewal process as you sleep.
I was more interested in the helping with dryness and dehydration as my skin can feel quite dry and tight sometimes, and since using it, I’ve noticed a massive difference in the look and feel of my skin.
This is especially noticeable in the mornings, as I no longer wake up feeling like I need to moisturise my skin straight away; it’s actually taken away that dry/tight feeling and I think it’s really helped improve the texture of my skin.
My skin looks and feels a lot healthier since using this serum and it’s already become a strict part of my nighttime skincare routine, and I actually really look forward to using it as it just feels so nice and refreshing on the skin!
For me, the main things it’s helped with is dryness and dullness and I definitely notice that my skin looks more radiant and fresh in the mornings.
My skin also feels so much softer and the dryness I usually feel during winter has gone.
I can really see why this product gets so many rave reviews, it definitely works for me and I’ve been noticing enough of a difference in just a month to know that it’s just going to continue to improve my skin after prolonged use.
But I’ll do an update in a few months or so when I’ll really be able to notice the improvements.
Have you ever tried this product?
