Products of the month

Products of the Month | January

I discovered a few new products last month that became firm favourites in my beauty routine, and also some old favourites that have crept back in.

Starting with skincare, the product I’ve been loving the most since I started using it a month ago is the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair.

Products of the month

I know this is such a well-loved product and I’m probably so far behind in trying this, but I’m so glad I finally did as it’s worked wonders for my skin.

Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair

I won’t go into too much detail as I wrote a post on it recently, but I’ve just been so impressed with the results after only using it for a month.

It’s made such an improvement to my skin which is prone to feeling quite dry and tight during cold weather and I’ve really noticed a difference since using it.

I love putting this on in the evenings, and in the morning my skin feels really soft and I don’t feel that instant need to reach for my moisturiser. You can read the more in-depth review I wrote on it here.

I bought the Papaya Gold Paw Paw Moisturising Balm after reading great reviews on it and how it helps with dry skin and chapped lips.

It’s a balm that helps to soothe and relieve dry chapped lips and irritated skin and it’s one of those products that’s great to always have with you for emergencies. I carry this in my make-up bag for instant relief of dry skin throughout the day.

I’ve been loving this lately and especially like using it on my lips, I find that it’s an instant relief for dry lips and I also like to apply it regularly to keep them soft throughout the day.

bareMinerals Spark Plug and Mac Blankety

I’ve been obsessed with this lip combination recently and have been wearing it since I got both of these for Christmas.

Blankety has always been one of my favourite Mac lipsticks, it’s just the perfect nude pink for me. I do find it hard finding the right nude shade for my pale skin tone, but this one just really suits me as it’s not too pale and has enough colour to not totally wash me out! It’s a soft pink beige and is really creamy and smooth so it keeps my lips soft too.

I’ve had bareMinerals Sparkplug before, a few years ago, but I only just started teaming it with Blankety when I got them both together. It’s a Marvelous Moxie lip gloss and is really highly pigmented and the colour is really strong and long lasting.

It’s described as a dusty pink pearl and I just find it a really flattering shade on me. These two go really well together and I’ve been wearing this combination so much since Christmas!

Lush Tooth Fairy

I got Tooth Fairy in a Lush gift box I got for Christmas, and at first I thought it would just be a novelty product and didn’t really rush to try it straight away.

But I was really surprised when I tried it and it’s actually such a great product. It really foams up like toothpaste and cleans teeth really well!

It’s a powder that you dip your wet toothbrush in and then brush your teeth with as normal. It contains arrowroot, lemon oil and xylitol which all help to clean teeth and keep them healthy.

Lush Tooth Fairy

I also love that this powder is really sparkly and kind of iridescent, which is hard to tell from the pictures. It’s also strawberry flavoured too which just tastes amazing!

It really makes my teeth feel squeaky clean and I’ve been using this after brushing my teeth as a bit of an extra clean and also because the strawberry flavour just tastes so good!

I love Blankety, it’s such a lovely natural, colour to wear everyday. I’ve always wanted Ruby Woo! It’s such a popular shade it’s definitely on my list of Mac lipsticks to buy! :-)
